Italian Tattoos

Italian tattoos are gaining in popularity in no small part because of the many celebrity tattoos featuring the Italian language. One very common misconception is that people get foreign language tattoos as some sort of being snobbish or somehow or another being above the average person with tattoos. While it is possible, it is not likely that any person who gets an Italian tattoo is going to try to pass themselves off as being any better or any worse than anybody else simply because of their tattoos’ designs. The Italian tattoos are only as good as the tattoo artist and tattoo’s designer are and nothing is going to change that.

Some tattoo artists have begun to design tattoos with foreign lettering for wrist tattoos and Italian tattoos do seem to be the current favorite for whatever reason. Some of the larger Italian tattoos are placed across the shoulders or up and down the back. One famous celebrity, Hayden Panettiere caused quite a stir when she ended up with an Italian tattoo running up her left side … that was actually spelled incorrectly. This could be quite embarrassing so before you get any tattoo, any lettering tattoos from Italian Tattoos to latin tattoos, to english tattoos, make sure that the spelling is correct before you even think about having it inked permanently.

Small tattoos are generally much easier to cover or hide if errors are made but since most of the Italian tattoos are lettering tattoos, they must be large enough for people to read. This is especially relevant when getting a lettering tattoo in a foreign language always make sure that you have a very reliable source to make certain that the spelling is correct and preferably, if you are getting a slogan tattooed, make certain that the slogan makes sense in both the language you are getting the tattoo in and your native language. For example, a car tattoo lover may have a Chevy Nova tattooed on their arm but in Spanish, Nova means “Don’t Go” so it may cause some consternation or even laughter among the people seeing it in their native language.

The Italian Tattoos and other lettering tattoos are often used for wrist tattoos with the writing encircling the wrist much as a bracelet would but this is not always the case. If you are getting an Italian Tattoo to make a statement, make a bold statement and make it properly and you will not have anyone laughing at you anywhere. If you really want to make your Italian tattoos stand out some, you can highlight them or “frame them” with star tattoos or even cross tattoos if you are making it a religious tattoo. Some of the larger and fancier Italian tattoos are pretty nice as well though. Some of the larger Italian tattoos have large lettering written on scrolls with eagle tattoos or angel tattoos seeming to hold up the edges of the scroll so that the world can see and read their Italian Tattoos.
