Memorial Tattoos


Memorial Tattoos are generally worn in memory of a lost loved one or idol. The memorial tattoos can also be worn in memory of certain events whether they were personal events in the lifetime of the person getting the memorial tattoo or something more grand like the memorial tattoos commemorating the attacks of September 11, 2001. If there is something noteworthy in your life, you may be well suited and predisposed towards looking at memorial tattoos.

Many of the military tattoos are memorial tattoos. Pictures of tattoos like this include many different styles of 9-11 tattoos, the Arizona Memorial Tattoos, The Lincoln Memorial Tattoos, the Vietnam Memorial tattoos and many other tattoo designs representative of memorials that honor victims and heroes alike. Still, not all of the memorial tattoos are going to be so serious and some are downright humorous.

Many of the celebrity memorial tattoos are represented by very good likenesses. In the case of many celebrities tattoos include comic greats such as Soupy Sales, Groucho Marx, Benny Hill and many others. These comedic memorial tattoos are generally done in such a manner that they accurately express the humor that these people devoted their lives to creating for our entertainment.

A number of the memorial tattoos will be decorated with smaller tattoos surrounding the memorial. In some cases, the entire are memorial tattoos and they are then surrounded with supplemental small tattoos to help complete the picture. Popal memorial tattoos may be surrounded by smaller lower back tattoos, cross tattoos, angel tattoos or even heart tattoos to express the love and devotion of the Pope.

For the memorial, Italian Tattoos are often created to memorialize a father figure, a wife or a child. This custom is also in place in other countries and represented in their tattoos as well. The Chicano tattoos are full of memorial tattoos dedicated to the birth of a child, a marriage or other highlighted events that have occurred in someone’s lifetime. These memorial tattoos are often much brighter and less depressing than the memorial tattoos used to express sadness or sorrow about events or persons past.

In some cases, there are memorial tattoos of more mythical creatures. Unicorn tattoos, fairy tattoos, sprite tattoos and even tattoos featuring the ancient mythologies of Greece and Rome are often found in tattoo flash galleries. Pictures of these tattoos can be found all over the place too as they are very popular tattoo designs even if not all of them are actually created as memorial tattoos.
